Fennemore Craig, P.C.

From reworking all of the firm’s website copy to developing compelling, lead-generating content, I helped Fennemore Craig, P.C. drive more organic traffic to its site, further its establishment of its attorneys as thought leaders, and increase qualified leads.

SinglePoint, Inc.

I crafted search-optimized copy for a publicly traded holding company’s website, focusing on brand names as well as combining industry and investment-related terms. Upon launch, the share price reached an all-time high and continued for quite some time, and the company was able to uplist from the OTCQB ("the Venture Market") to the Chicago Board Options Exchange.

EMAILAGE

I developed compelling content for Emailage’s marketing channels, including email, social media, the website and the company’s blog. Following a headline-making acquisition, I also assisted with transitioning the brand’s content to LexisNexis.

BEST WESTERN

In coordination with property owners and managers, I wrote optimized copy for hundreds of hotel websites and web pages for the world's largest hotel chain. The results far exceeded Best Western's expectations for the project — the efforts generated more than a $50 million increase in revenue from organic search traffic alone in a single year.

INSIGHT ENTERPRISES

I worked with Insight, a Fortune 500 information technology consultancy, as a freelance writer for several years. I’ve covered myriad industries and various high-tech solutions for the company.

Articles, data sheets, eBooks, social media updates and white papers were all written with a focus on search engine optimization. I primarily concentrated on the company's cloud offerings, with an emphasis on Microsoft solutions.

To cover technical topics in an engaging, clear manner, I worked with SMEs and real users to tell their stories. I secured interviews with everyone from the CMO of a sports franchise to a school teacher.

CERTIFICIAL

Starting with the basics, I wrote an explainer guide on what a certificate of insurance (COI) is to help drive more traffic to Certificial’s website and bolster its domain’s authority on the topic.

GEEKBEARS

With an SEO strategy in place that leveraged long-form, SEO-focused pillar content and brief optimized related articles, I developed content for a development firm’s blog to help attract qualified clients.

Embark behavioral health

I worked with SMEs to develop thoughtful, search-optimized content for Embark Behavioral Health, a nationwide network of treatment and therapy programs for young people, covering sensitive topics in an empathetic, supportive and inclusive tone and becoming knowledgeable in the clinical approaches to addiction, depression anxiety, and other mental health diagnoses.

Content that was developed often aligned with trending topics, such as young athletes’ mental health during the Olympics and publishing articles related to how social media affects teens around the same time Frances Haugen was testifying on Capitol Hill about reports of Instagram’s effects on teen girls.

The article on high school sports and mental health outranks the NIH's content on the same topic, meaning that a nationwide network of outpatient centers and residential therapy/treatment programs is seen as more of an authority on youth athletics and mental health than the world’s largest biomedical research institution because of that optimized original content.
